NSW Coastal Region Appointment
GENERAL SURGEON - COASTAL NSW
- Join a stable and collegiate team of surgeons
- Combine general surgery with your sub-specialist interest
- Attractive & flexible package with rights to private practice
- Click here for further details
Move to this idyllic, lush coastal region and you will be surrounded by beauty all year round. Known for its pristine coastline, verdant hills and forests and gentle climate the region has long been a magnet for sea-changers, artists, musicians and professionals seeking work-life balance.
Due to the phased retirement of two long-serving surgeons, the hospital seeks a FRACS to join this well-respected team. Working as a VMO or staff specialist, you can expect a high degree of professional satisfaction from a varied general surgical case mix, with the option to bring your own sub-specialty expertise. With close teaching hospital links there is ample opportunity to take on a university appointment for lecturing or research, which the health service supports and encourages.
Renowned for its close knit and supportive community, this appealing historic country town offers exceptional lifestyle opportunities and superb family facilities. With house prices typically less than a third of the cost of Sydney or Melbourne, even for beachfront properties, living here provides the ideal antidote to the stresses of city life. With regular flights and excellent road connections to Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne you are never more than 2 hours from a metropolitan area.
A new hospital planned in the near future offers an ideal opportunity to help shape the surgical services in the area and your input will be warmly welcomed. The immediate team of 5-6 surgeons expects to grow in the future to meet increasing demand.
Unique and desirable roles such as these come up rarely. If you seek a rewarding career, a high quality of life and access to all best that Australia has to offer, call me to discuss in detail. For a confidential enquiry, please contact Karla Leary on +61 2 8353 9030 or
