2019 Simulation Workshop 1
On behalf of General Surgeons Australia and the Victorian/Tasmanian Training Committee, it is with pleasure that we invite you to participate in the 2019 Simulation Workshops.
There will be three simulation workshops on offer for trainees and IMGs to attend which is being coordinated by Mr Julian Choi. Each workshop is convened by an expert in the field.
As these workshops are being offered free of charge, we anticipate that they will be extremely popular. Places will be offered on a first-come first served basis.
Note: Due to the workshops being offered free of charge, any Trainee or IMG who registers but does not attend will be prohibited from attending any future simulation workshops.
Laparoscopic Tissue Approximation Workshop

Morning group - 09:00 – 12:00, followed by lunch
Afternoon group - 12:30 – 15:30, lunch prior (replica of morning session)
Introduction to principle and technique of laparoscopic suturing. The acquisition of FLS skill sets, laparoscopic suturing skills on lap box trainer model and on pig small bowel model and the Acquisition of laparoscopic stapling skills.
