Information about the draft guidelines

The update of the guidelines was commissioned and funded by the Department of Health Commonwealth of Australia, and it has been overseen by a multidisciplinary working party with input from subcommittees.

These draft guidelines aim to provide information and recommendations to guide practice across the continuum of cancer care including colorectal cancer prevention, screening and diagnosis, clinical aspects of surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, follow-up and psychosocial care. They also provide an evidence base for the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program.

Systematic reviews and modelling were performed to answer the clinical questions.
