Flexible Training
Flexible Training Opportunities
The Australian Board in General Surgery supports flexible training whilst also understanding the complexities involved in arranging flexible posts.
The Training Committees of the Board have been instrumental in identifying accredited posts within hospitals that are able to provide flexible training.
To assist trainees who are interested in undertaking flexible training, below are a list of hospitals that offer suitable posts. Please note that the list is not exhaustive and whilst a hospital may not appear below this does not necessarily mean they are unable to offer flexible training.
Trainees who are interested in undertaking flexible are advised to undertake the following steps:
- Review the relevant Section of the Training Regulations
- Discuss your preference and training with your supervisor, hub supervisor (Queensland, Victoria-Tasmania and New South Wales-ACT)
- Contact the person listed below
- Enter a request into TMS for Part-time Training
