2019 IBD Surgical Symposium

On behalf of St Vincent's Hospital and the Organising Committee, we are pleased to announce the 2019 IBD Surgical Symposium, taking place on Friday 29 March 2019, at St Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne - one day prior to the 11th National Inflammatory Bowel Disease Symposium.

This important one-day symposium, featuring national and international experts, will focus on an array of controversial and difficult areas of IBD covering both medical and surgical topics including endoscopic management of Crohn's disease, difficult perineal Crohn's disease, and the role of the K-pouch in the 21st century.

Together, the 2019 IBD Surgical Symposium and the 11th National Inflammatory Bowel Disease Symposium will be a complete update for practitioners with an interest in IBD.

Join renowned General and Colorectal Surgeon Dr James Church and colleagues for breakfast prior to the Symposium, for an intimate discussion around difficult cases as well as Dr Church's reflection on 30 years as a Colorectal Surgeon.

This educational activity has been approved in the RACS CPD Program. Fellows who participate can claim one point per hour in Maintenance of Knowledge and Skills
