2018 Pacific Island Travel Grants
Applications for the 2018 Pacific Island Travel Grants are now open and will close on Tuesday 1 May, 2018.
Eligible Pacific Island surgeons and surgical trainees are invited to apply.
The 2018 Pacific Island Travel Grant was established to assist a Pacific Island surgeon or surgical trainee to travel to Fiji for the GSA & PISA 2018 Combined ASM, to obtain further education and training in General Surgery.
The GSA & PISA 2018 Combined ASM - Emergency Responses and Humanitarian Aid - will be held at the Sheraton Fiji Resort & Westin Denarau Island, Fiji from 1-4 October 2018.
Applicants must be a permanent resident or citizen of an eligible Pacific Island nation (excluding Australia and New Zealand). Please read the 2018 Pacific Island Travel Grant Policy for a list of eligible Pacific Island nations.
The successful recipient(s) will be required to complete an evaluation form and to provide a written report at the conclusion of the GSA & PISA 2018 Combined ASM, regarding their experience at the meeting.
In 2018, up to fifteen (15) travel grants will be awarded. The Travel Grant consists of up to AUD$3,000 to be put towards full registration for the GSA & PISA 2018 Combined ASM and may also be put towards economy travel expenses and accommodation.
