Promoting Advancement in Surgical Education (PrASE) Course Grants
The GSA PrASE Course Grant was established to encourage senior Trainees and Younger Fellows to attend the RACS PrASE Course, to encourage them to become supervisors on the General Surgery SET program.
Nominations are open and will close on Monday 14 March 2022.
The course empowers surgical educators to deliver excellence in training and education by exploring learner-centred surgical education, trust and feedback, trainees at risk, assessment and supervision, and leadership in surgical education.
All current SET5+ General Surgery Trainees that have successfully passed the Fellowship Examination are eligible to apply. Younger Fellows who are financial members of GSA and who were awarded FRACS in General Surgery in the two (2) years prior to nomination are also eligible to apply.
Up to seven (7) Grants (one per training region and two in New South Wales and Victoria) will be awarded each year to a Trainee/Younger Fellow in General Surgery.
